I have completed a three years diploma in Nautical Studies at Durban University of Technology. I chose to do this course due to the fact that; I wanted to do something that is useful since seafarers make a massive impact on both immediate vessel and also on the world trade. To do something that is international recognised qualifications. To gain life experience, variety, plus industry job security. Lastly to gain skills for life and the opportunity to travel the world to experience interesting and unusual places rather than just the typical business or holiday or destination visited by many people. My objective is to share knowledge and skill I acquired in my institution and excel in my chosen career as marine personnel, and to build a life time commitment in the field of marine. I am a hard working person and willing to be trained, I can work well individually and in a team setting environment. I am a quick and can pick up new concepts and tasks very quickly. I am physical able to handle the challenges of life on a ship, and also ready for the challenge and I am prepared to work as many hours as necessary to make my dream come true. I do not have a problem for being away from home for extend periods of time as know this is also a part of the job.
